Let's talk about those awesome but insanely hard* snes jump-n-shoots, which if you ask me are unjustly overlooked when people talk about good star wars games.
Any opinions on which is the best? Going to buy one and unsure between a new hope / empire

Star Wars was the best, I hate to say. Empire would have been except for the motherfucken laaaag. Playing Empire on an emulator would be better. RotJ? That was 8-bit hard. ALl are fucekn sweet. I know what I'll be doing this weekend :).

I used to play the shit out of the Game Boy version of SSW: RotJ. Eventually I memorized the fuck out of everything, but the Death Star stage is ABYSMAL for the leaps of faith you have to take.

loved these games as a kid. Had like 150+snes games as a kid and these stood out for me.
i loved the fact that you had multiple characters and more than average attacks. It made the games a bit more interesting.

Rotj and esb felt really solid. I did feel like the levels were hard to navigate.

never got to finish them as a kid but eventually when i got older i played through all of them.

Empire is the worst of the three, Jedi is the best. All three are great though. Their NES counterparts are also very fun (No counterpart of Jedi though) and are actually harder.

I eventually went for the original, as empire is expensive here in bongland and jedi is the worst film of the three. Guess I ducked a bullet there
On a realted note, I remember the gameboy version being pretty awful

That's been the general consensus since...ever

By a fair margin. Ewoks motherfucker.

Still haven't finished SRotJ though, it's that goddamn final stage.

I didn't mind the Ewoks, but I definitely didn't like ROTJ as a whole more than the other 2.

>fucking yetis in the second level of Empire

Why did they put the most fucking irritating enemy that early on in the game?

>> No.776829

I've always been terrible at this series.
Own the first and second game. Never made it past the Inside of the Sandcrawler or Hoth.
