Huh I was just going to come here to ask about detective mystery adventure games. Is this a good one?

You can also try the Richard Tracy games if you're a sucker for Dick.

it's not much of a game. it's fmv investigation, and very limited. basically you are just watching for clues and goofy performances of the actors

I like it a lot, it's one of the few FMV games that really nail the feeling of "playing a TV show". It got a Steam release with much better video and some qol improvements, grab that one if you're interested.

yes, the steam release. there's a dvd version as well, that lets you play on a standard player and use a remote. it has good video quality.

The main goal of the game is to solve the crime in the most efficient way by making the correct deductions at all times, which is actually pretty challenging and requires you to really think your clues through.

i played a case with my dvd recently and it was hard. wasn't trying to get points and be fast, just wanted to solve it and it was tricky

Matching Holmes'score (ie a perfect solution) is practically impossible on the first try, you really need to think about what you're learning from where and if there might be other ways to learn the same.

Based Johnny. Why didn't they listen?

Pretty sure the Duo outsold the Sega CD worldwide.

that's not what it was it like in 1993, man. we were aware of the shit, and then we'd opt for the systems we thought would be having a lot of games on the shelf. mall stores had all kinds of shit to see and test. new memes don't match up to reality back then, dawg
