Why does everyone hate on the Third Birthday? The combat is fine, the rpg mechanics are fine. All in all its one of the funnest games I played on my PSP emulator (I'm sure its 10x better with dual analog controler instead of the gimped dpad). Sure the story may not be satifactory but the gameplay and mechaincs are fine. It's not RE4 but the absolute disproportionate amount of hate for a game thats totally fine even quite good for third person shooter standards has never ceased to amaze me. It's a solidly built and fun game to shoot aliens in, whats the big deal? The DNA system is fun to use too.
Of all the trash boring games that get praised as classics the fact that Third Birthday is so reviled makes it clear that video game fanboyism has next to nothing to do with actual game quality.

The game is kinda a Sailor Moon rip offf.
Title is Sei Shoujo Sentai Lakers, reference to Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.
It's a 5 magical girls squad protecting humans from monsters.
Sometime a mysterious hero appears to help them in battle and disappear after the battle ends, a reference to the Masked Tuxedo in Sailor Moon.
I used to call this game Sailor Moon Hentai.

Lifeline on PS2; Requires a voice headset to play. Technically the protagonist is an unnamed male, (the player,) but you control Rio; a blonde cocktail waitress throughout the entire game. There are thousands of unique voice responses, which may not be impressive now, but certainly was on the PS2. You can even make her do things like "do a sexy pose," to literally asking her to bark like a dog. She's super cute and probably autistic.

Vikki and Brigette in Portal Runner were both very hot, especially when you get pic related outfit in the last level, and the game was interestingly released on 9/11.

I just discovered Primal last year and it's nice.

I like the "Onechanbara" series and wish it was better known. It started on the PS2 and was localized in Europe as "Zombie Zone". "Zombie Hunters 1 & 2" came next, Hunters 1 being an upgrade of the first, and Hunters 2 being an upgrade of the sequel (Onechanbara Special 1 & 2 respectively). The series enters the 7th gen after that and it continues today.
