You’re about to get 15 (you)’s from guys who have never used it saying you are an idiot for not just using a DS4 or how it’s unusable because it has 2 ms of input lag. Where they get these numbers, only their autistic shitty brains know.
I agree, the quality of usb retro controllers has increased considerably since the mid-2000’s.
I’ve never used the sega licensed Saturn pads from retro-bit but have only heard good things.

no there is nothing worse than a cheap arcade stick.
sanwa/seimitsu at the minimum or bust.

Alright nice to see an account to the quality difference but the point is I want to make a Retro-bit one with one of the color schemes the SLS had.

So you want to make the controllers that replicate the color of official Saturn pads look like the cheap knockoffs?

>cheap knockoffs
They were literally made by SEGA in the 2000s, SLS = Sega Logistics Service. The Retro-bit USBs don't even come in the original gray or white.

SLS is just a chink name, not "official" "official".
Like Play SEGA controllers.
The only legit ones were the PlayStation Sega Saturn pads.

The Playstation ones were made by SLS.
Anyways maybe I should use a tiny screwdriver or something to scrape the paint out of the button indents then sandpaper on the rest?

Paint will always chip out sooner or later. The good news is that the buttosn from all these clones are compatible, I've made my own combinations. It's lame Retrobit didn't do the gray model.

I'm considering making the trackball and d pad on the underside interchangeable.

They did come in white. Must have sold badly as they don't make them anymore.

This is a terrible idea. Dpads/ trackballs/ touchpads on the reverse of the controller under the main diamond and main dpad/stick position won't work.

Right and wrong.
The new duke's white and black buttons iirc are hardwired to be the same as the shoulder buttons, you can't bind them seperately; black is always L1/LB and white is always R1/RB.

So it's same amount of physical buttons, but it's less effective buttons

Controllers suck shit but pic is better then any of the retro throwback controllers. Mechanical switch dpad and buttons. Only controller Id use if im not using an arcade stick.
