Who knows about 80s and 90s gaming systems like Neo Geo, PC Engine, PC 88 and 98, Sharp X1 and 68000, MSX, FM Towns, and other high end gaming systems? And can talk about good games most people never played before? I'm looking for gems on these systems preferably RPGs but anything is fine.

I would recommend Proserpia, 新九玉伝 for the PC88, very ignored games that need more attention.
Also if you like oldschool dungeon crawlers, King Breeder is an interesting game to look at.

I had all those except the X1. I don't know any people who have never played on them. Only filthy gaijin nintoddlers. I can't think of any RPGs to recommend to someone who doesn't know moon and can't ask on a moon board.

Similar to >>9032784, I can't really recommend you anything if you don't know Japanese. Especially RPGs but even some of the action games I like require reading skills if you want to know what's going on.

Famicom, PC Engine CD, FM Towns, MSX2, SharpX68000 and PC 98 all got an amazing RPG called Last Armageddon, about the Earth after a nuclear apocalypse inhabited by mutants and monsters that is attacked by a Terminator-esque sentient A.I. robot army from another planet. Has one of the best battle themes I've ever heard for an RPG.
