Nah, it was more like /jp/ tolerated casual talk about roommates, but not outright doxxing. Everyone knew about it, but it was really only used in context of the Holo, such as to confirm Flare and Noel fucking on a particular day. If a Holo took a break or something, their roommate twitter might show they were sick or taking a vacation. Small stuff like that. Outright doxxfags were and always will be schizos. Amegeddon was a rare instance of outright hostile doxxing to try and bring down a talent, and paved the way for the new environment here on /vt/.

On /vt/ you have a lot of newfags and people who don't know/don't care about their roommates. This leads to schizo SEAniggers using it as "FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE" to bait (You)s because it's a novelty to many people. You also have seagulls trying to weaponize Kiara doxx to try and hurt her. Add in the fact that mods are newfags and don't lurk and there seems to be a much harder environment for discussing roommate aspects even in light of the Holo. Which is why you have people being banned for saying things like Suisei and Anemachi live together.
