I haven't started training hll4 yet, but I ran some quick tests to try different settings. It should look ok in general, but hands will be horrible still. To get better hands in hll itself I would have to add photos and use higher resolution, but I don't want to bother with this.
So Merging will be necessary for better hands and backgrounds.
