There are a couple price comparison websites I use, plus manually checking the more reputable vendors for their prices. I'm also too paranoid to buy used parts, with electronics I just want to maximize my chances of things going right.
I feel ya on that, I try not to fuck with that stuff too if I can avoid it. I want the whole-ass warranty in case some bullshit comes up.
