You can create the illusion of another color using some sort of checkboard pattern combining two other colors.
People often use pink+yellow for skin here but the result is a tanned skin. For lighter skin tones, you can do pink+light grey, light grey+white...
Check what the others did in the surrounding area of the permanent zone.
