because he didn't. And neither he did for "Ethyria". He was scouted, on both ocassions. He talked about this in his very last stream, actually. Both these points.

I will give you that Yugo's first scouting doesn't mean it was necessarily for Ethyria. They could've wanted him to be a solo debut instead, who knows. He made sure to not explicitly say whether it was for Ethyria or not, maybe he never knew because he did reject the offer very early on.
