Buckle up, for I shall tell you the Glorious Tale of the Unwise Steward.

In a trading era long gone, the Exchange had introduced a new functionality to match the times - auctions. Yet, their operation was guided by draconic laws, taxing every step and punishing foolish traders who would wish to cancel auctions prematurely.

An Investigator, compensating with bravery what he lacked in brains, has decided to test its limits, setting up an auction and cancelling it. The (New) Old Law has been uncompromising, bombing his entire net worth into negative numbers, a feat never done before. His realm, his estate, his future, all in ruins. Yet, to this day, I remember him stating "it was pretty funny though".
