Yeah! The lore is very diegetic! Like a lot of stuff you learn through books, through talking to people, and realizing the various people of different factions, tribes, etc have their own takes on a lot of history and world events, religious views, etc. In a lot of ways it's like exploring something like Vvardenfell in Morrowind and learning about the various places and cultures and customs but with an arguably better delivery system for dialogue and no real main plot, just a lot of guiding ideas and actions you can get from exploring the world and talking to people. It's a lot of fun! It's also a very dangerous world that doesn't give two spits about you, so you gotta toughen up to survive and assume most people are against you at worst or neutral towards you at best.
