The gacha has two main roles:
>Giving the players that have amassed leaderboard/oshiboard positions something else to do with their money other than evade taxes.
>Getting money out of circulation to curb inflation.
Rate-ups are important for IRL gachas because the objective with an IRL gacha is to encourage you to spend, so making the rates tantalizing and offering rate-ups and pity rates are used to lessen the emotional blow of wanting to waste money on the game by giving you a lower alleged threshold of spending.
With the gacha here, there is no point in offering methods to reduce spending on the game, because it runs counter to both of the intended points of the mechanic. If the amount of money needed to get something from the gacha is a concern to you, then you are literally too poor for the gacha to be relevant to you, and should keep investing and amassing wealth.

It's going to take a few days for the tourists to clear out, isn't it.
