I'm going to answer in a different order so my answers flow better.
>Did you know about her and vtubing as a whole when she debuted?
I was aware of vtubers because one of my friends showed me Kazuna AI which was much before Haachama's debut.

The concept of having an oshi was not really a thing back then. I also was not an avid vtuber watcher at the time. However, I did browse the vtuber general on /wsg/ back in the day because it really was a great way to get a large mix of vtuber content clipped and recommended back in the day. It was in those threads that I found Haato. However, there was so much variety that she was just one of many I saw. I had a few that I liked, but no oshi.

>What led you to have Haachama as your oshi?
She always stood out, even when she wasn't doing crazy things. Back in the day, we only had 3 English speaking JP chuubas: Chammers, Coco, and Pikamee. I like both Coco and Pikamee, but Coco was a bit too vulgar for me and Pikamee spoke English a bit too well. Chammers had an extremely cute way of speaking and she has consistently been cute in her mannerisms. Easily the most feminine of the bunch. That by itself was enough to win me over back then. And once I began to enjoy her stuff, there was no way for me to stop.

I can't recall ever disliking her.

It's agonizing, and I hate it. I wish she would manage her time better, but also being in uni, I understand to an extent.

I stuck with her this far, why leave? Until she graduates, why give up on her?

I liked her gameplay streams when she was in her original personality, but I can understand why some would find it generic. Her English only streams from back then were some of her most adorable content. The videos she made with her 3D model that started acting crazy were a mixed bag, but I liked them. The schizo arc was also hit or miss. Cooking streams are quite fun, but I wish she would show her hands. Singing is nice, but I was never a huge music/karaoke fan.
