She's right and it's not. A good model is really fucking important, look what happened to Flare. She's no less fun or cute than any others in Gen 3 but she lags behind the rest HARD because her original model looked like a dead eyed lizard person and had a boob window that kept drawing Susan's ire. With the visual aspect taken care of, this allows the streamer to focus on their personality and interaction skills. This especially applies to older hags or maybe girls that aren't as good looking as other ethots.

Now Irys is great and many people have been seeing her charms but that's despite her model, which is an automatic debuff that she has to fight against, same as Flare in the beginning. Also these are otaku girls, they like cute models just as much as the rest of us so it might be slightly disheartening to have to look at that all the time.
