I'm more worried if he's making it all at home. I work within the music industry, and if you do mixing and mastering without the proper tools, it's hard to get a world-class sound. Over here, we usually send songs to be mixed by someone, and send it to one veteran guy who does mastering for most of the top artists in my country. Both of these guys have more than 30 years experience in the industry each.

Shit is different when all you have is a personal computer, a DAW, knowledge from school plus tutorials, and some digital mixer compared to a full studio setup with equipment reaching more than a million bucks managed by pros. I usually help in giving QCing the songs they sent back to us after mastering before publishing. I don't know much about the technical side of those, but you can definitely hear the difference in quality when you mix and master yourself compared to sending them out to professionals in their field. His songs sounds more homemade rather than polished by pros.

But, that's just how the industry is. It's better to be done rather than perfect. But big ups for Gura for trying out new and upcoming creatives.
