To clarify, spears aren't bad, they're better than thrusting swords(unable to stagger or cause critical attack state), her weapon is split phys-pierce/lightning so that's a factor on how well or poorly it performs.

Mohg LoB was a tilting boss for me as well since the period blood puddles causes area denial, basically the worst type of boss for a player that respects enemies. She can't hang back, observe and react. Phase 2 has mixed fire damage which punches through her shield.

She doesn't need to fully respec but she would get more mileage with a bleed spear and constant aggression since backpedalling will get her stuck in bleed puddles.
