It's the former for me, I always see Reine of flesh and blood. I have watched her for so long, and seen so many different fanarts of her from so many angles (including fanmade 3D models) that Live2D isn't a problem, quite the opposite – seeing the character move around and pairing that with the still images gives my brain the ammo to visualize the complete package, so she's almost lifelike. Almost, because she's still cartoony and for some enigmatic reason too bright given the lightning conditions of the environment, as if she had her separate lightning source, but in the world of dreams you ignore such abnormalities. Reine in my dreams is neither a picture nor a goofy Koikatsu model, she's something between the picrel and a normal human.

The fact that you're financially safe for a longer period of time already means you're not a loser, and it makes me happy for you. I can't imagine people digging themselves up in expenses to the point of having to live from paycheck to paycheck and borrowing funds from friends and family.
