When I wrote about the /meat/ Risuners, I mentioned them embedding dye and herbs into their cut wounds as part of their ritual scarification. On an unrelated topic, I also mentioned /meat/ having a bunch of organic dye from plants. We also know /risu/ makes use of chuubanite-infused gems for different effects.
What if the different chuubanite-infused dye have different effects when embedded into the scars (and might further change depending on the scars' shape)? Maybe this technique was originally developed by them to compensate for no longer having their magic gems? Maybe we even learn that from them later for our own use?
