Regarding meteorology, all the instruments should be available (barometers, thermometers, anemometers, hygrometers...) so it's just all about data collection from a vast network, theory and modelling, which Tripoint specializes at. They will probably work best on-land, though.
For the ships, maybe something like marine chronometers would be suppliable if Tripoint were to cooperate with Chronobanks.
Regarding the Chuubanite technology, I'd imagine a deal would have to be worked out, in part because Epoch himself uses a steady amount of Mori- and other chuubanites. Really happy you like him as a character, I'll try to delve deeper into him in subsequent stories.

The problem with Takamori is that those at the bottom will never truly understand those at the top, and those at the top can only ever pity those at the bottom. Calligula being the power couple was inevitable because only those two can approach each other as equals. Kiara was too envious of Mori while Mori was too dismissive of Kiara, but Gura and Mori have no disparity between them.
