I was a superintendent for a building for a summer, helped my dad and my grandfather who also worked in that building for a quick buck and some job experience. The basement had a boiler as well as a fusebox that needed checking on every once in a while, and that was fine because it was properly lit up. Well once the fuses just clicked. Father said it's fine, it happens from time to time, just go down there and flip the switches no big deal.

When I went down there I heard children giggling and the pitter patter of footsteps. That spooked the shit out of me so I went back up and told my dad I'm not going back the fuck down there. He was like "oh, right, you don't know. The previous owner of the building found out his wife cheated on him. He loved his kids but he couldn't get full custody, so he killed them and stuffed their body in the boiler." He even showed me the fucking newspaper clipping about it. I literally never fucking went back down there.

The worst part about all this is that in a month nothing will have changed because she was barely around to begin with. Outside of her diehard fans no one will really care because the dynamic won't change. Council Meetings stopped being a thing for months (presumably because of her) and Council went off to do their own things.

This entire thing just feels dry.
