Entire Anycolor branches have been evaporated if they aren't successful enough.
Most of the niji yabs come from infighting within the fanbase of different livers.
Even the Raito and the Meiro thing were internal fuckups (and ultimately, failures of the Anycolor scouting/vetting team).

NijiEN have stepped only on minor yabs so far, and the Nijisanji fanbase is unironically centred around this board (rrats about NijiEN from here are VERY quick to break containment). But they don't know how 4chan works, and bite every single bait and blow up the discussion about their yabs to epic proportions.
Their biggest yabs also had mostly to do with hololive (the Discord Leak, the copyright thingey) and Cover doesn't want the PR disaster of fucking with their competitor's foreign branch so they escaped scot free.
Their second most prominent yabs are internal and unseen and uncared for by outside folks (Nina maybe going a bit too far with Pomu, forcing the boys to do gay shit for Youtube, /b/omu, Vox vs Reimu, Yugo in general).
Every single one of these instances are equivalent to death by a thousand cuts. Each of these cause just a few people here and there to just get fed up and leave the fanbase, adding up over time.

NijiEN have yet to face a real, meaty yab. Something you can't really sweep under the rug. Something that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
That will be the true test of their fanbase. And like most of their other big yabs, it will very likely come from within.
The EN fanbase knows that the branch very likely won't survive it.
