Considering how early this was in everything, this was the first time I saw Mori get like that. I'm glad for her first slower, sadder, song, she put out a disclaimer because up to that point it had been fun rap or Live Again. It was the first point where I really started to care about her as a person and not jut "I like watching her streams", it became "I want to see her happy and keep reaching new heights."

I not only think about Mori and the others frequently but I also am leaning towards wanting to believe she really is a Reaper. The one who will one day take my soul to an afterlife where we can be at peace.

Well said. I have no problem showing up to something later than others, it usually doesn't hinder developing a liking for it. I'd even say I'm late to a lot of parties. Mori was something I caught from debut and I am very glad.
Yes, I did find everything else and came to love that as well. I don't particularly wish I was there "since the before the beginning" because I don't think it would have had the same impact. Vtubers got me through 2020 and then Mori came along towards the end, and discovering the music was at the perfect time. Certain songs felt so relatable. If I had heard them earlier they would have sounded fine, but I wouldn't have felt such a strong connection.
Being a Deadbeat is great because we all come together around a wonderful woman (and in support of others), and I think many of us are intending to follow whatever she does. So there's nothing wrong with getting on a little later, we're all aboard the same train. You know how it goes.

Cheesy can be good. It's sappy and romanticized, which is fitting.

I've honestly kind of ignored that part and gone with it's a form she's been able to take for a very long time. One inspired by what she observed from humans and as she learned to enjoy parts of their cultures. Maybe even appearing like that in some art through the ages when those with near-death experiences described what they saw.

A sight which is more comforting than the classical skeleton (or more monstrous looking forms) other Reapers use.
Then when Mori started to interact with humans on her hiatus, her body became "real" so she could fit in better.
This is also a lore where she's ageless but also grows up. So don't try to think about it too much.

Glad the night had a few more laughs with the end of Watson's stream.
Was a bit of a nervous day but Mori handled everything very well. I really want to see her isolate the good mood she felt and grasp onto it. Her being happy makes her friends happy and her Deadbeats happy. All of them and >us want to see her succeed. And she has built up a good momentum to continue it, now onward to the next test.
