There is a point in every /vt/ard's life where they become deeply infatuated with someone or something. As a result of said infatuation, you can become emotionally invested with and feel connected to the "object" of your infatuation.

It's bad enough being a weeb who desires and is attracted to an anime character, it's even worse when said character can interact with and respond to you. This interaction can deepen your dark ideas and pit of infatuation. As a result, you desire nothing more than to be with the "object" regardless of flaws or insecurities.

Anon, I would highly encourage you to speak about this with either a VERY good licensed therapist, or someone you can trust and speak with with no fear of judgement. By speaking with that person, I hope you can find outlets for your infatuation such as fitness, art, or even cleaning your room. I hope you get better, godspeed Anon.

Why are so many Southeast Asians so bad at putting their internet use towards productive activities like say, art or English language learning? I mean hell if they spent half their time on that as they do DOTA and League they'd be able to learn new skills.

What you need to be aware of is that the vtuber community is an offshoot of the idol community kitbashed with the streaming community. Add in the anime avatar frosting and a zest of e-girl/e-boy, and you've got yourself a community that has the highest levels of mental illness. At least 85% of all vtuber fans have suffered from or are currently suffering from some form of mental illness. This is compounded by the isolating nature of watching streams which devolutes the mind of vtuber fans.

Dude, the amount of people with mental illnesses on this website is dangerously high. I understand that you might forget this but the following disorders are extremely common in many people here and it's not that easy to help them or encourage them to seek help.
