I have the fix for mutual funds ready and so I'll be running it tonight at 12amET. The fix is essentially a pseudo-rollback to before things broke, so all shares held above 3k for each fund per player will be refunded to the players, the share totals for each fund will be tallied up, and any new unaccounted for shares will be reimbursed to the funds. Tomorrow, the market for ordering fund shares will be reopened.

I would like to address some concerns with how public and private funds distribute shares and dividends and how we have decided to change the mechanics slightly to make it less exploitable. Now, the CEO of a company will only receive the starting shares they set up when they make the fund public. A private company will not receive dividends to its balance, they will just go to no one. The fund must be public at the time of dividends in order to receive them. For any funds that have already been made public, the CEOs should now have their shares. Other small things I fixed are some rounding errors on the fund balance updates, luna not showing up on the fund portfolio page, and the typo on "Portfolio".

As many of you are having some issues with dropping cycles, I did a little snooping and made some minor adjustments to the trader so hopefully we now avoid skipping trades. Note there may be a few seconds of delay between trade cycles. Keep an eye out and let me know if there are still issues going forward.

Small update today. I've created a benchmark index with included weights for each coin along with some other stats so that players have some kind of performance to compare their own wallets to. Hard refresh to see the new "Benchmark" page. This is to prepare for other upcoming changes to the economy such as ETFs, mutual funds, options, and shorting. I've also added a few new hats and a new crafting recipe for fun. We are working on getting the more exciting changes out as soon as possible but it's a very complicated procedure and we want to make sure it doesn't break the game. Additionally, if you have any experience in finance/economics and think you could help us out with some high level developmental ideas, please email me. Thanks!

I don't know what you want me to say other than myself and the dev team are still working hard to add things and improve the game and would really love if we were able to continue doing so, and thank you to all the players who stick by us. I personally don't see the need to announce you're quitting since it just demoralizes the playerbase. I'll say that at least 3 new accounts are made every day so as long as the average number of "quitters" every day is less than 3 than the game is still alive. Please look forward to multicoin tonight. The dividends will also be a bit different from last week's so not as absurdly nerfed. As the market continues to deflate we are going to ease off on some of the bandaids so we'll start seeing some fun green days again, I know the constant red is probably why a lot of people are quitting.

Yes, I nerfed divs. This was suggested by many people and the dev team and I all agreed this was the right move for this particular adjustment. If we didn't, coins would be giving average of $5000+ per share. The theme of all these changes is curbing inflation. This dividend formula isn't permanent, but for today it was necessary. Prices will come down to match, given the changes we've made to the adjustment formula.
