Yup, 8GB seems like it's gonna be more trouble than it's worth.

Mhhhhmmm that's the issue right there, I guess best to look around and hope you can pick up a 12 for only a tad more than the 8, might have to pricedive a bit my personaly go-to has always been trying to buy things while pretending to be french, since a lot of tech stuff seems to be cheaper in french domains. but then again if your country got well-maintained purchase surveillance that might be risky.
