The mixing is mostly good in my opinion. The song is great, and Polka did a pretty great job with it. I hate to say it, but the issues I had were largely with her performance. Her vocals were a bit too clean where the performance would benefit from some intentional roughness, and her dynamics were samey through the entire song, which deflated it at points and doesn't quite fit with the unpredictability you'd expect from "kicking and spitting on me when I'm down so I've completely lost my marbles" energy it is going for. It's particularly noticeable from 2:10 until the end when it goes from a brief lament to a sudden resolution of essentially "fuck it, I've got nothing to lose so you'll be sure to at least remember my name":

Syudou's vocals were also a little lacking in the variation department, but he did better with restraining the energy there so the 'explosive laughter' and sudden transition was more energized, and there's more punch and buildup to the final nosedive into madness. Polka's last crazy laugh at the end, though. Holy shit it's too good. Worth the price of admission alone.

As someone who works in entertainment and media and having been through my fair share of contract negotiations, pretty clear Cover failed to convince Coco to stay for due to a mix of personal and monetary reasons. These things seem like they come out of nowhere on the public's end, but are usually sealed in stone weeks to months before the announcement happens when negotiations break down. Sounds like Cover will keep her account up and videos public after she leaves, if my shit Japanese understood correctly. Hopefully her contract guaranteed she will receive a good portion of the future legacy monetization.

Without knowing their internal business situation, I'm willing to bet Cover does not pay nearly enough for their talent to deal with the extraordinary level of bullshit they have to endure. Talent looks to be shouldering way too much on their own between running their channels, balancing multiple collabs and projects, and doing promotional work. Add antis to the equation, and there's virtually no compelling reason for talent to stay on if their agency is essentially just leeching off their work with little benefit. Pretty obvious with all the mental health breaks lately many of them have been taking. Also fuck West Taiwan -- hope the bubble they're created finally blows up in their face.
