discords actual purpose is for collabs. Most discords that vtubers attempt to make contain 75% the same vtubers that join other ones and lack viewers and a community. Moderating and getting people to take time out of their day and do things for free so you dont have a stray person who wants to shit it up is also a problem. Most of the time vtubers end up creating friend groups and dwindle them down to closer friend groups that they use to talk amongst themselves. Its more of a pain in the ass to manage than worry about it as a boogeyman
