I partially blame their own culture for being drama prone. Things like self-loathing, being dismissive of their own cultural identity, wrong pride, fondness of gossiping, nepotism/cronyism or terrible handling of mental health and regional above average occurence of related problems are very common within the country's community and make up a bad foundation, although it also highly depends on the upbringing of the individual. Descendants that are more distant to the culture tend to get away better than those who were born there. Doesn't help either that poverty and family problems are common as well and negatively influence it as well, let alone the political instability.

People will obsess and make rrats about anything. That being said, honestly the main reason so much of it happens with Gura is because of how secretive and paranoid she is with so many things. What would be no big deal for another chuuba seems like some huge secret with Gura. It drives speculation and shitposters thrive on that.
