So Touhou is something only vaguely/obscurely-known to a lot of people here but for years and years there's been a criticism that a lot of people, especially Western fans, are really "secondary" fans of it aka secondaries. They don't actually play Touhou games or consume the primary material, they just like the stuff fans make for it - videos like Bad Apple and Cirno's Perfect Math Class. They will be very sure to let you know Cirno is a Baka 9 etc.

They are fans of the fandom in essence. Holo has a bit of that too in clipfags especially and redditor casuals and the worst is when a secondary makes content for other secondaries and this is how old stale shit like Gura's "A" got paraded around for fucking YEARS by these fucking subhumans when Gura literally stopped doing that like max 1 month into her streaming career and never actually made it a big thing. Same for Bottom Left for Kiara. Secondaries don't know that's been fucking dead for years now but they just learned what it means like last month because they saw a clip explaining it so start saying it again even though it's way past its time.

She doesn't want to perform under pressure and probably doesn't want to just hop on and stream Mario Kart as if nothing's happened without taking some time to talk first but the longer she waits the more the pressure is building. I think Gura's procrastinating because she knows she's got some explaining to do for the past few months and is under the microscope from a lot of her own fans at this point, but has no idea how to do it, and/or thinks she'll mess up or be misinterpreted and piss everyone off.

Honestly what did they THINK was gonna happen? The only way to not have that be a thing is to not have them talking a bunch/bantering a bunch.
