Reddit spacing is the best example of how some memes make people retarded.

Initially it only referred to the obnoxious habit of some people to skip every other line.

Supposedly this was something redditors would do to make their posts more readable.

I don't even know if that was ever true.

The meme took off and people just started to rage against this post format

Then newfags started to apply "reddit spacing" to any line breaks

So now we have to enjoy walls of text or we are reddit.
