No, that kind of attention is not a substitute to romantic affection (or vise versa). And out of the many things you can do in order to make money, lifestreaming isn't something you just pick up out of the hundreds of other ways to make a living, many of them more easily accessible.
Some people want to entertain a wider audience and spread their name.
Some want to present themselves in a different light so they play a character.
Some of them like the creative side of side of things, pairing art or singing with live interaction.
With just about anything that isn't 9 to 5, you need some kind of intrinsic motivation to follow it because, as you probably know.
No one goes "I wish I had a SO, guess I should sit in front of screen so people can write me instead". And if you watch chuubas because you want to have a SO, then just get a SO, it will be easier and healthier for you.
