I'm not claiming to have any "streaming secrets", most advice is generic because it's general problems everyone has/works through, but sometimes I'm able to help with something more specific that I've delt with or have experience with. There's a lot of luck that you have no control over, so you try to increase your odds as best you can and not leave anything on the table, which is mostly what i'm advising.

you guys can ask me anything while I'm here, i'm not claiming to be an expert, but i'd like to help out if I can

there's several people here that I think would get along well in a VC lobby together, but there is a vibe check, since I have to make sure anyone I'm inviting on is going get along with/keep convo rolling with everyone else. with bigger audiences there's more of an obligation to make sure you're putting on a good show for the viewers, so I'd wanna make sure anyone I'd invite on is socialble and fun and won't freeze up on call.

the difference between "leeching" and "networking" are largely perspective. you collab with someone bigger and totally vibe with each other? banger, not seen as leeching. you collab with someone bigger and it's awkward, it's clear you don't really have much in common, and the pairing feels forced? you're seen as a leech.
whether you're 10CCV or 1000CCV you will collab with bigger people in the hopes that some of their audience will like to watch you too. everyone does it, it's no secret, and the higher in CCV you go the more likely you'll be talking about your audiences merging (and what kind of stream would work best for that) when you plan the collab. the important distinction is that number/networking isn't the ONLY thing driving the collab, you should try to only collab with people you get along well with, have things in common with, have good banter with, etc. regardless of numbers or whatever. there's several of you guys that I vibe with, so I don't think it'll be seen as leeching

not to manager larp too much here but you should really stress starting on time (and starting at the same time every stream if you can), it absolutely KILLS your ability to have regulars show up early in the stream if you don't.

it's presented more aggressive than I would prefer, but >>63036173 has some legitimate good insight/advice
the balance between asking too much from your chatters (you don't want to ask them something and wait for an answer, or make them feel pressured to participate in chat/stream) and not interacting with chat enough is pretty difficult to get right, and its one of the biggest things I see people mess up. it's not just males, and it's not just asp chuubas either

There's a guy I know that's a great streamer, powerful zatsu, great voice, BUT I'm less inclined to chat in his streams because he'll ask questions to chat and then hang the stream until you answer him. This means if I'm doing something else (which is most times I watch streams) I'll not chat because I won't want to have to pull out my keyboard and type a response to something, or have him comment about me leaving the stream if I don't answer. it puts me in an awkward place.
There's a woman I watch that is the opposite of this, super good streamer, one of the best zatsu streamers I watch, that really knows how to keep a compelling ramble going, but barely acknowledges her chat at all. I rarely chat in her streams (unless it's to respond to another chatter) because I know she won't even read it 95% of the time, or will read it 5 minutes later.
In small streams the chat experience is especially important, and it's really vital to get it right

Good morning /asp/, I have a little survey for you

What is a stream you've done that you're most proud of?
What is a stream you wish you could do but don't have the time or resources now to do it?
What do you think is your strongest suit? What do you think is your weakest?
Who is your inspiration?
What made you decide to start streaming?

you can drop your channel link too if you want, or you can remain annonymous if you choose, I hope y'all have a good day!!

if you had to pick one clip to shill yourself to new viewers, what would it be?
post your clip here, I will rate/critique

(subject to my own opinion obviously, I am not the sole arbiter of good content or anything)

you've got a point, reps should be encouraged, but isn't it kinda tacky to brag about making someone cry? not "bad" by any stretch, but if I'm on friendly terms with them to where I can banter a bit I'm gonna give them a hard time for it lol.

I've watched him for months, and shilled him here a couple times before but it never got any traction. It's nice to see him getting some attention now, he's a good guy, and his streams are chill and entertaining

she's been doing a lot of chill game/zatsu streams ever since she started streaming 5 days a week again. she's started doing some language learning streams where she does duolingo and the spanish ones have summoned half of latin america to the chat, it's hilarious. we need to talk her into playing more otome on stream because she played that pigeon one and it was funny too.
feels good to have weeknight dog back

I think you're underestimating how good 13 minutes of edited down clips is in 3 hours of content. For a rough cut I expect 1-5 minutes per hour of VOD. Over 5 minutes per hour is incredibly rare. Unless you're leaving a ton of headroom on your clips, that's pretty good!
