>Youtube premium takes a cut and gives the rest to the creators you watch based on how much you watch them
>premium is worth ~1000views money wise
>premium heavily favors livestreams thanks to the length and engagement
>downloading a vod using premium counts as having watched the entire vod, giving it maximum watch time
>maximum watch time makes the vod more appealing to the algorithm
I don't know how that translates to music though. I assume it would work the same way.
