In general Pol are kind of looked down upon by a lot of Brits. Its super common for them to take speech lessons to hide their Polish accent to better integrate themselves. To me it sounds like Vei grew up speaking Polish as a primary language, but then taught herself an American accent instead of a British one. This would also explain why she said she was self-conscious about her voice in the begining and doesn't like to describe herself as Polish.
