Tweet: Ohamion~! After I fell into the Holo hole, I came to love Calliope-chan and Gura-chan. This prompted me to start learning English.
Mio: I experienced this myself from yesterday's collab with Baelz.
Mio: This is really incredible!
Mio: I really think I need to learn from this guy here.
Tweet: I used to hate English, but now I'm actively trying to learn it!
Mio: It's true that Hololive started with JP. But still...
Mio: We have the IN and EN girls, and I'd love to interact with them.
Mio: I feel bad reaching out though, not being able to speak English well.
Mio: However, when I emceed for the Hololive Sports Festival...
Mio: I held two prior briefings for the EN and ID girls ahead of time.
Mio: I was placed in a position where I *had* to use English.
Mio: This is a bit of a behind the scenes talk.
Mio: The briefing was in the afternoon, cus to the time zones.
Mio: Around 12 noon.
Mio: We gathered within Minecraft.
Mio: Mikocchi overslept and wasn't there.
Mio: More like, she came in halfway through.
Mio: At the very least, she wasn't there for half of it.
Mio: What's more, the EN manager can speak English. So she could translate.
Mio: But scheduling woes happened.
Mio: As it turned out, I was the only person present for the briefing.
Mio: Of course, IRyS-chan and Bae-chan was there to translate.
Mio: Who else was there?
Mio: Ah, Kiara-chan might have been there too.
Mio: Basically, there were HLmem who could translate for me.
Mio: I heard all the EN girls having fun in English.
Mio: I was mainly like, "Okay, okay! Thank you! Let's go!"
Mio: I had to ask, "I'm sorry, IRyS-chan, can you translate this for me?"
Mio: I consciously used easier Japanese.
Mio: And everyone responded in what Japanese they could.
Mio: But that experience is what gave me the courage to reach out to collab with Bae-chan.
Mio: I'd previously thought it'd be rude for me to collab with the EN girls.
Mio: But this experience let me know that I *can* communicate with the EN girls.
Mio: In a way, I'm thankful to Mikocchi. Thank you for being late.
Mio: When she showed up, she displayed her Elite English.
Mio: Like, "Yes! Okay! Thank you, thank you!"
Mio: Either way, my point is, it's thanks to the Sports Festival that I realized I really want to learn English.
