You can already do that in Chrome or Edge or even Firefox. It's called a "pinned tab".

elGoog having all my data is one thing, but giving it to a bunch of Chinese tech companies and VC funds isn't exactly better.
Guessing you're the one that was recommending it before, I finally got around to trying it. Again, after you unfuck it a bit after installing it, the UI is snappy and they're clearly doing something with resource management to get individual tabs running "lighter" than they would in Chrome, but all the rest of the baggage ruins that.
