I guess it's in general the way this kind of media attracts people like us: it either makes you feel seen or feel like someone else is experiencing the world the same way.
Yeah, endings hurt. In fact, both endings hurt. In what this game mean metaphorically it's obvious there wouldn't be other endings than bad ones tho, unfortunately.
