I had to look up her design sheet because I was looking at the front view and trying (and failing) to see how I would interpret her as flat without knowing anything else. Changing the angle makes a huge difference.

I wasn't saying her (almost) lack of pupils was a mistake, I'm just saying that the two characters that were designed with odd, understated pupils also had big gripes with their rigging too.
However, Anya's pupils are more obvious on her original design sheet.

She was designed as a small, loli-esque character with a small chest.
However the rigger misunderstood the torso area and thought those bits on the side indicated she had giant boobs and rigged her that way, resulting in her having huge tits that jiggled around when she moved, which got her quite a bit of attention initially.
Anya was quite firm in regard to sticking to her artists original design intention and was quick to correct people that she wasn't meant to an oppai loli. On her new models this mistake was corrected.
