I like her because she speaks her mind and is genuinely passionate about her interests. She clearly enjoys sharing those interests with her community and that enjoyment is infectious.

Just how many seething femanons do you think /pcg/ has? How does it compare to other corpos?

Working theory:

I don't think that Phase Connect is positioning itself to be "the edgy Vtuber corpo" as much as it is appealing to people who were fans of the "old internet".

Pippa is probably the most explicit about it but if you take a look at the more popular Phase Connect talents, it's absolutely a factor in their success.

- Lumi's background in 2000's era MMOs and how she keeps calling back to the Guild politics of that era. I feel like this is why so many people are unwilling to TRUST Lumi as she has repeatedly shown her hand on the devious shit she has done to stay in power.

- Lia and Yuri both have the 2010-2015 Tumblr era cornered and their humor largely reflects it. Lia is outdoing Yuri with her weird deepdive series of the "old internet" but that's not to say that Yuri doesn't have her Tumblr girl tendencies when it comes to her obsessions.

- And then we have Tenma. She's probably the biggest gamer of the bunch and I can't help but see that she gets a spike in popularity whenever she plays some of the boomer games of the early 2000s. There's also some old internet culture with regards to her fans' love for Gachimuchi and with how she reacted to the whole Hogwarts debacle.

I've watched Tenma the least of those I mentioned so I am totally open to be corrected here; however, I do feel like this aspect is why /PCG/ and Phase Connect's audience as a whole are mostly 30-something year old boomers. They're different. They're not traditionally "corpo-friendly" talents nor are they explicitly coom-bait like many Twitch vtubers either.

All in all, I hope that Sakana can correctly identify PC's audience and make marketing, merchandise, and hiring choices accordingly

I've been on the internet since 1993. This happens to every big creator who uses other people's content as part of their own. Pewdipie, Retsupurae, and many others. It's always the same thing.
