Cons: not as much customization as indie software.
Pros: no face capture, so that can never ever fuck up and lead to an IRL incident. zero chance of facial recording.
In terms of tracking, we've seen trash tracking and fucking incredible tracking within Cover's technology. Matsuri's old model was pretty low-grade, meanwhile Reine and Mori's current models are insanely well-tracked. I'm inclined to believe that's the responsibility of the rigger more than the app.
If Cover's app allowed for easier customization, like throwing .pngs onto outfits, it would 100% be the best and safest software in the business. But it doesn't, so it's hamstrung by the amount Cover can put out.
