For clarification, that particular orange JR logo (and kanji characters) is for JR Tokai, aka JR Central, the JR branch operating in the central Tokai region around the city of Nagoya, sandwiched between JR East, centered on Tokyo and the Kanto region, up to the North end of the main island of Japan, Honshu (Hokkaido has it's own JR branch), and JR West, mainly servicing the Kansai area that is Kyoto/Osaka/Kobe, etc; extending to the southern end of Honshu (the other two main islands of Japan, Shikoku and Kyushu, also have their own JR branches).

For those who don't know, JR used to be JNR (Japan National Railways), but was privatized and broken up into regional operating companies in 1987. I think the reason why this might be causing a bit more of a stir is that the location of Holofes and Super Expo is, as I've stated a couple times before, the Makuhari Messe convention center, which is the main convention center of Chiba City in Chiba Prefecture, which is to the east of Tokyo, firmly in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area in the Kanto region, and therefore firmly within JR East's own territory. Sure, the JR Companies cooperate with each other in running services between their territories like the Shinkansen and manage joint stations as well as ticketing (they all have their own IC fare card systems, but they're now all interoperable for the most part), but this is JR Central funding something that has nothing to do with rail service firmly in JR East's territory. Each of the major JRs also run other businesses like conbinis (JR East has New Days, JR Central has Bellmarket, etc; most of them are integrated into their stations) and hotels (JR Mets is JR East's, and they look like decent hotels from what I saw of them during my trip there last month), and of course real estate (pretty much every major JR train station is attached to some sort of mall), but from what I understand, it's rather rare for them to be funding things like idol Lives and vtuber Expos, even if they do a lot of anime collabs in certain stations and probably sell a lot of advertising to those kinds of companies (and certain stations have a bunch of gacha machines installed in them as well, if there's an anime or game or manga or light novel or whatever reference attached to that particular station for the otaku to eat right up)
