Kanji is a bitch to teach and learn because you have to be the person for it. There's audible-learners, communicative learners, photographic learners and tactile learners, if you belong to tactile or/AND photographic it's the fucking lottery won. People who learn better from the spoken word or listening are plenty fucked in Japanese, where as people who store that shit in muscle memory or just forever see it in front of them excel.
