When gen 2 debuted, everything was fine for awhile. Eventually newfags learned that you cannot change your oshi and the general flow of the board returned back to normal. But at some point a thread with a gen 2 OP pic was deleted, moments later a new /hlgg/ thread featuring a gen 1 unity pic in OP overtook as the main thread. This disaster created what would be later known as "The great EN civil war".
A mortal mind is unable to comprehend the sheer amount of false flaging, shit posting and hate threads. First the KFP went mad, and started the jihad against everyone, including themselves. Schizo postsv were literally everywhere. And the SEAniggers... Oh god the SEAniggers... I have seen the rrats so powerful that they scarred me for life... Doxfaggots were posting the entire bios of holo girls...
Somehow at some point this whole mess spilled over to r*ddit and twitter. Fanbases were attacking each other during the streams. This cacophony of shit forced everyone including Mori to heavily moderate and tard wrangle their own communities. Zhangs seeing this weakness, like dogs were constantly adding fuel to ever burning fire of the civil war. Even Risu twitted stating that /vt/ scares her now.
And when everyone thought that the shit storm died out, the war eventually caught the unwanted attention of /pol/ and /b/... It was a slaughterhouse.
This lasted for two whole weeks and in the end /hlgg/ was no more. Everyone started to post in their dedicated split threads. Tribalism and constant raids of each other became a new norm.

The Gura Heresy also known as The Gawr Yab, Cosmic Scale Daddy Issues, That time Ollie fucked everyone over with yabs and as The Great Heresy War is one of the single biggest clusterfuck of events in Youtube history, alongside the creation of a new general /hlggg/, and the rampage and fall of the indies. Needless to say, this heresy derailed the Yagoo's plan and himself, and gave the Nijisanji girls their most prominent armies to carry out their will in the vtuber community.

In the Gura Heresy, the Yagoo's favorite employee, Gawr Gura, formerly the most subscribed vtuber of the Hololive, was corrupted by NijiEN and rebelled against the Hololive, taking nine EN members (Including Ina), their respective fanbases, and about half of the /vt/ and R*ddit with her. After waging war across the whole internet, Gura and her traitors eventually reached Japan itself, hoping to murder Yagoo himself and cut the head off the proverbial snake and win the war.
