The fact that so many anons still name Gawr Gura as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" vtuber ever only tells you how far vtubing still is from becoming a serious art. 2hu have long recognized that the greatest 2hus of all times are Patchouli and Yuugi, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Anime critics rank the highly controversial Tomino over anime directors who were highly popular on MAL and Reddit. Vtuber fans are still blinded by commercial success. Gawr Gura has more views than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore she must be the greatest. 2hu critics grow up playing a lot of the past 2hu games, anime critics grow up watching the old school anime of the past. Vtuber fans are often totally ignorant of the vtubers of the past, they barely even know the Four Heavenly Kings. No wonder they will think that Gawr Gura does anything worthy of being saved.
