VOD anon here, Koyori has had blatantly low vods for a long time (it was even noted back when ark meta was a thing) but it’s no different than many other holos like Mio, Fauna, Ina, and Lamy herself to an extent. The best explanation that can be given is that their communities have built themselves around a more personalized experience with the streamer, so they tend to tune in and stay watching. It’s no coincidence that they all end up with solid CCV but low VODs. The lack of VOD watchers are only part of it.

Koyori shouldn’t be shitposted about because she’s actually been on an incline for VODs and that’s directly been attributed to her hard work and effort. What can be said though is that she, out of every mid-high tier holo, seems to have a drastically small fanbase in comparison. That’s the only thing that can be said. So please stop with the shitposting from this angle, it happens to people on both sides

Thanks dude. Hoping you can ditch Atlantis Shark and have an actual shark for the keeper. Also, facing the current board champion will be a horrible massacre.

I love IRyS, she’s right behind Luna and Gura for me, but I don’t have the energy to help there right now. But IRyS is doing fine. People might make remarks about her CCV or her VODs but truthfully, Kronii has similar patterns and I think a lot of it boils down to the timezone. Streaming when half of the US is going to bed will cause much less traction to come unless you’re about to do a hyped up stream (MC, Closing Shift for Kronii come to mind)
She’s just in a touchy spot of being genless and lacking a place to stand on in the company. She has all the tools to be successful with the Japanese audience, but JPs seem very reluctant to make collabs happen with her (aside from the vsingers.) Likewise, she meshes well with EN but lives across the world and doesn’t get the same opportunities others would in collabing. But she tries a lot and she’s being rewarded for it no matter what people say. That’s my feelings, at least. She definitely deserves more than what she’s gotten from cover and her papa so far, though.

Might come off as a little bit of a negative post but it’s more of an observation:
https://youtu.be/iweIyMqUrt4
https://youtu.be/a74gzcoJEPQ
https://youtu.be/h-Tts5EBEu0
https://youtu.be/Ech7a8QRVZY
I think we MIGHT be starting to see glimpses of the “fake audience” as I’d call it in action, aka, the fans of Holos currently out of commission who’re just tuning into a stream to have on and kill the days, because many JPs have started to have this trend of having bloated CCVs with lackluster VODs to show for. This is also particularly noticeable in Mio’s recent VODs, where no amount of CCV gain has resulted in ANY forward movement in her VODs. They’ve all, quite literally, remained the same no matter if it’s 10k, 15k or 19k. And this makes sense; CCV only shows a portion of the actual viewer turnout, and if people are just finding a stream to have on in the background then there won’t be any real churn.
The recent streams from above though seem to support this idea. For the CCV, these VODs are tremendously underperforming. Some might argue that Miko’s VOD is multi-pov, however the fact remains that the stream averaged 30k (29.5k to be exact) and had what was supposedly a set up arc to draw attention in. But that’s just one.
The most egregious case is Laplus, who despite having an overwhelming set of buffs leading into this stream, actually put out what I believe is her worst karaoke VOD to date. Slightly over 200k on a 30k karaoke stream is mediocre for really any Holo, but for her in particular. Her last 2 karaokes of this length are well over 300k and had way lower traction than this one. Also, we literally have a Towa karaoke from this week to compare it to:
https://youtu.be/Tze9IBb7cG8
In which this stream peaked less than Laplus’ AVERAGE, yet is pushing its way to 300k.
Another shown was Subaru’s collab with Mio in which their 29k peak stream has failed to even hit 200k.

This isn’t very typical to see. Normally you’d see a lot more UUMPH out of bulky streams, like a large frontloaded portion of views appearing. But in all honesty, these VODs are not even pacing themselves to be faster than Fauna’s offcollab (247k in 1 day, 18k average) except for Miko who already eclipsed that. So I don’t really know what’s going on apart from what I believe is happening above.

You guys seriously need to do history lessons on VODs. I’ve seen this opinion get thrown around a lot and it’s one of the most widely false statements that comes out of this thread.

So the matter at hand is:
>Longer VODs will always have more views than short VODs
This ONLY applies to your everyday game stream. Events and hyped up collabs do not follow by this rule. The reasoning for this is simple: Short streams often have the intent to be quick bursts of energy with packed content that people don’t want to miss. It’s common for these streams to have way higher CCV than any other type of content and it often attracts the most attention out of viewers who tune in and out. You can see this behavior across a multitude of streams from all sorts of vtubers. In fact, two of the most consistent cases of vtubers that perform better the shorter the streams are is Suisei and Laplus, who live by the rule of doing 1 hour long VODs. They’re designed so that people don’t want to just miss them so they tune in.

Long VODs will often have people stick to the stream and not bring in anymore outward attention because people have the expectation that it’s gonna be going on for a while, so they stay. Ever wonder why Pekora never has spectacular VODs for her long streams despite sporting great CCV? Yes, she doesn’t perform as well as she /should/ regardless, but it’s simple: people just won’t come in droves at hour 4 of a 7 hour long VOD.

There are a million examples of 1hr long VODs having way higher views than well performing streams that go the distance out there. So anyone who says that time will affect these comparisons doesn’t have an idea of what they’re talking about. It’s ONLY when you have similar minded content that differ between 30 mins-hr that can affect views because it’s still within the “hype timeframe”

NTA, but I’ve mentioned Kobo’s VODs here before and sort of enlightened people over how well they’re performing. I don’t believe there’s any sorted data out there that can provide you with this other than stuff like socialblade tracking average views on a video or an anon doing something similar, but if you check around enough with Holos you get an idea of what their range is.

From MY observation, Kobo is definitely in the top 10 holos right now for VODs. Top 5 is a maybe, those spots are reserved for the likes of Gura/Aqua/Marine/Pekora and the 5th likely being Suisei due to how often she overperforms on anything she does, but Kobo unironically is right about there and as of late, has likely taken that 6th spot. People don’t realize just how much that girl is actually being watched and she’ll easily overtake Suisei if she keeps it up.

But I mean, if we’re being honest Aqua doesn’t even stream so you can argue Kobo at that point is a top 5 VOD Holo. Subaru used to have horrible VODs also but honestly she’s risen up there and her collabs do ridiculously good on other people’s channels so it shows the power she has

If Gura plays WWE next week, do you think she’ll hit 30k with it?

Btw, speaking of VODs, I’m gonna do a Gura post again one of these days but I want to see what goes on with this 3 day break Gura is gonna have. This is typically when VODs grow a lot so I want to judge things correctly, but there’s something bothering me still. I’ve tracked months worth of Gura VODs and this past 2 weeks has been the weirdest set, ever since that Gorn age restriction VOD.

As mentioned in the last post of mine related to it, everything on Gura’s end seems to have inclined or remained the same. SCs are normal, chat is fast, memberships are coming in swiftly, CCV is up by a fuckton this week, clips are reaching the same views as usual, rate of likes are the same if not higher than previous months-

… And yet, for whatever reason her VODs during processing just don’t go anywhere like they did before her break. Her VIEWS are great as always, but it’s like half her processed views get sent into the void. To give context, her project wingman vod hit 300k views in 3 hours of processing (the notorious 13k stream). By all accounts, Gura’s latest streams should be hitting this too, but they die out at like 240-250k every time during processing and then normal views take over. Again, her fanbase is as active as ever. It’s just like somewhere YouTube has fucked around with her discoverability or something, possibly from the age restriction. People said similar things happened with Haachama too. It’s just weird. I need to keep a close eye on things for the week and see how the growth is

It’s all so tiring seeing these homos. From their wonky graphs and constant celebrations, to calling themselves bottoms and talking about people entering their bussy in their stream title. I think it’s time we reform and appreciate the finer things in life, like finger foods, sports and most importantly, cunny.
