I'm still not convinced. All that was posted was a flatly colored sketch, hardly a model in progress. I could just as easily say that Nade was too unsure of herself to explain that she wanted a new design because it wasn't fully drawn up yet, and asked for the current Live2D models to be based on her then current PNGs of her own accord.
Every statement about one artist or another unilaterally determining her design while Nade herself had little opportunity for input doesn't quite track.

My rrat is that k4gatsu had a lot more influence on her design than thought. Compare >>14537037 to the final sketch she had shown us. I think she let the artist make a lot of changes without offering much push back. She probably didn't even consider it her own creation anymore with how she credited k4gatsu in her L2D debut for the original design rather than herself. Her PNGs and L2Ds after k4gatsu's have been slowly changing things back to how she herself designed them. Now that she's learned to stick up for her own interests rather than just trying to make others happy, I think that she sees the new costume as a second chance and that she'll make sure it sticks closely to what she wants this time.

I don't see discord jokes going on here so it's already a plus, she scolds some of the lewdposters and ignores the truly creepy ones, she seems to have a decent head on her shoulders to keep a small distance, especially in keeping separate activity here and on more "named" sources
