This actually reminded me that I turned off xformers a couple weeks ago for some reason and forgot to turn it back on, so thanks. Now that I'm using it again, this took 0:51 instead of 1:15

Just as a little example of this, I went and found some old 1 finger selfie lora I had lying around.
Here's generating an image with it at strength 1, not hires fixing anything or doing anything fancy. It warps the style somewhat.

This one is the same prompt but with the lora at 0.3 strength, trying to get the model's style back. The style impact is gone but it doesn't get the pose right anymore.

This one is latent hires fix on the full strength lora version, can see the style is still weird.

And finally, hires fix where the upscale step has the lora turned down to 0.3 strength. A bit of a middle ground, but has slight composition problems.

I probably shouldn't have picked such a hand-focused lora to demonstrate latent upscale stuff since latent upscale usually kills fingers, but I've gotten rid of most of my other overly forceful loras so I didn't have many options left. Even this one is already borderline okay without any weird tricks so it's not a great example but hopefully it gets the idea across. Something to try if you've ever got a lora you really want to use but it's overly baked or was built from too small a sample size
