I don't care much about face reveals. I just want to know their future will be good. There's some of these girls who seem like if they stopped streaming they'd end up in some dead end OL job. Even occasional communication knowing they're alright would be good. I'm not saying I expect any of them to die but we know that at least Lulu is currently in hiding due to stalkers. So here's a question: how do I consume v-tubers during college?
When I was working at an office during my gap year, shit got extended due to Covid. Ended up working an extra half of a year. I didn't watch V-Tubers or learn much Japanese. Didn't have the time. But with an unplanned half a year with no real purpose I was able to consume copious amounts and let my mind not stray from thinking about Japanese and V-Tubers.
So how do you fully functioning members of society do it? I'd like to know so I can continue learning Japanese without it hampering my studies.

Does it help you study? Hamper? Please give your general thoughts, they are valuable to me.

i'm having trouble with the Dunning-Kruger effect and understanding japanese. i've reached a point where i can understand a good amount of some streamers, though exact translation can be hard a decent amount of the time, and can look things up accurately using hiragana and the like with a discerning eye to find results relevant to the context of the sentence.
nonetheless the amount of similiar sounding words in japanese is starting to fuck me in the ass. it's one thing when i think they're just making simple statements while playing mario kart -- but i'm afraid of picking up information incorrectly. say someone in chat mentions a past stream or holiday in chat and i pick up the streamer's response as something to do with mario kart, due to the words sounding similiar enough to words im expecting to hear in a mario kart stream.

in other words, i'm struggling with the difficulty of v-tuber's lacking consistent context. chat can change topics in a moments notice and i'm unaware. is this a major deal? has anybody else experienced this?
