If you'd be willing to humor MY speculation, I think you aren't willing to accept that Ame simply didn't want to put in the work to do Ame in the AM, so you've come up with this "she didn't want to step on others' toes" reason to reconcile those mixed emotions because that reasoning is easier to accept for you. Not saying that she's never exhibited tendencies like that before, but it clearly doesn't apply here.

The first 8-9 months of Ame was a complete mess of a human being.
A shitty ISP had plagued her since October, she resolved this in March. Two bricked GPUs fell into her lap by December, she's only resolving this now. In January she needed a manager to tell her that if she has no creative ideas then she can just stream games until she can think of something. This is the big stuff off the top of my head; there's a lot of little things, but I'm not that interested in breaking your rose-tinted goggles.
